Supermodel and beauty activist Winnie Harlow revealed the one thing it takes for her to feel her best — and how it’s all thanks to her mom.
“Having a mom who’s a hairdresser, it’s when my hair’s done,” Harlow exclusively told The Messenger. “When my hair’s done, and I’m just chilling with family, and we can snap away and make memories, that’s my favorite sense of confidence.”
Harlow further explained how being around her inner circle helps her feel her best.
“I think I feel the most beautiful when I’m with my family, as well,” she said. “When you’re with your loved ones is when you’re the happiest and your most true self.”
Lucky for Harlow, she’s got plenty of family time ahead as she anticipates reveling in some celebrated traditions over the holidays.
“I am looking forward to some Jamaican specialties,” she gushed. “Some sorrel, which is a Caribbean holiday drink that’s made from hibiscus flowers, ginger, and rum. I’m also looking forward to rum cake. Those are really big holiday things in a Caribbean household.”
Harlow’s affinity for this time of year made her a perfect match for Coca-Cola’s Create Real Magic campaign, which allows creators from around the globe to experiment with AI and design their shareable holiday cards that authentically capture the spirit of their unique celebrations.
“When I heard the idea of this campaign by Coca-Cola, I was jumping at the opportunity to stand again for representation,” Harlow said of the collaboration. “When it comes to an SPF we should all have holiday cards, repre
sensation isn’t always taken into account.”
