DJ Big 6

DJ Big 6 brings the energy every Thursday night on the Mix Party. Music runs in his blood. His dad introduced him to entertainment when he was just a kid. He sang in church and school choirs and lit up talent shows from an early age.

His journey as a DJ kicked off at his high school graduation party in 1992. At college in Knoxville, Tennessee, he became the go-to DJ for campus parties, from sororities to student clubs. While studying, he led the East Tennessee Record Pool and built strong ties with music labels like Death Row, So So Def, Def Jam, No Limit, Columbia, and many more.

In 1997, he helped promote P. Diddy’s No Way Out Tour and made waves by pushing new artists like Master P, Trick Daddy, and Lil Jon. In the early 2000s, he launched Big 6 Productions LLC, promoting his artists like 2 Deep, who had a hit single Ridin’ In My Cadillac and shared the stage with Ludacris, Cee Lo Green, and Juvenile.

Today, He rocks weddings, private parties, and big corporate events across the South, including gigs for Comcast, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Las Amigas, and the National Society of Black Engineers. He also shoots music videos and was even featured in a Nicki Minaj documentary on Logo and E! TV.

In 2015, he was nominated for Best Mixtape DJ at the SCM Awards. He’s still growing his brand online and spinning tracks on popular internet radio stations. As a proud member of Empire DJs and Nerve DJs, He stays true to his mission: to break new music and bring good vibes wherever he goes.

His inspirations include legends like DJ Jazzy Jeff, Kid Capri, Jam Master Jay, Funk Master Flex, and many more.
